CSI Church in Kilakarai

St. Peters Church, Kilakarai

Kilakarai has minimal percentage of christian community. St. Peters church in kilakarai is one of the oldest church among the churches in the near by places. This church was started in the 18th century. Cristian missionaries started residing in Kilakarai in earlier centuries and were spreading the spiritual message about Jesus Christ. People started converting to Christianity by their true virtue and belief. As the christian community reached some heights, they built a church for their get-together to praise Jesus Christ.

Kilakarai church has a C.S.I School inside it's campus. The campus is very big and 200 children can play at a time during their leisure periods. Many engineers and doctors in the world are one of the Alumni of this Wonderful School.

Kilakarai church roof is very old and it is one of the old architecture, that cannot be retained in the future. There is no daily prayer in this church, We can see people worshiping only on Sundays. This church has the old bell tower with it. That will help the people to notify that the Prayer is going to start.

One Interesting thing is there inside the church campus is the Neem Tree, It looks like a creeper in the ground, It is very very old and have good number of branches. This tree keeps the church campus cool and healthy.

People who studied in this school and attending the prayer in this church should help this church to get good shape. "He who give will be blessed by double in return" is the Lords word.

This church is supervised by Madurai Main diocese. Every christian visiting kilakarai must visit this church without fail.

May God Bless who sees this Post.
