Jumma Mosque in Kilakarai is one of the oldest and built up with dravidian architecture. This mosque built in 17th centuary is a great example for the art of construction. The shape of this pallivasal (Mosque) is comparitively like the art of dravidian architecture. The beams in this Mosque is well decorated with styles. The bend in the wall on the Prayer direction in the mosque is the only witness to prove that this is a Mosque. Things commonly seen in temples are also available in the beams of this Mosque. outside amenity is look like a Temple wall and it's a great question by all that how this mosque is like a Temple in design. Temple like features are available in this mosque but for a surprise there is no shapes like hindu goddess is carved in any of the beam or on the wall of this mosque.
